Jazmina was one of the five girls that died in the earthquake in Ecuador along with Sr. Clare Crockett. She very courageously defended her faith, even before her teachers and classmates. However, in her own life, Jazmina could be named patroness of young people who are afraid of having a religious vocation. When she finally answered God’s call and entered as a candidate for the Servant Sisters of the Home of the Mother, Jazmina radically broke with any ties to a selfish life and began to live only to give glory to God.
