Have you been selfish and self-centered for so long that your heart, instead of growing and flowering in love, has shriveled into a miserable dark mass?
Proverbs 3:6 says: "In everything and in every step you take think of God, and what God wants."
Could your personalized version of this quote go something like: In everything and in every step I take I think of myself, and what I want?
Our Lord and Our Mother give more to those who give them more.
If our thoughts, our words, and our actions are always focused on ourselves, how do we expect to ever be happy? You might be looking for happiness and might think that focusing on yourself and looking for your own “happiness” in every moment will make you happy. But, if you haven’t already realized that this ideology won’t make you happy, well, I’ll let you know right now that down that path true happiness can never be found.
START YOUR CURE: As always, the sacraments, especially sincere and frequent confessions. Prayer. Get closer to Jesus and Our Lady, never leave their side. Your goal is to live in constant union with God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and with Our Mother, never forget that. It should always be your first priority. And look for all the opportunities you can to make small and big acts of love for others. Forget about yourself. Open your heart wider than ever. Be generous… more will be given to those who give more. Give joyfully! God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:7)
We ask our generous and loving Mother, health of the sick, to give us a heart like hers. Generous, beautiful, and joyful! And may she make our hearts grow in love for her Son and for others. Amen.
