Imagine a soldier at war, guarding the borders of his territory… he is on watch with eyes like a hawk. He knows he is at war and that the enemy is trying to infiltrate his camp to attack and destroy, so he has to be constantly alert.
Do you really want to tell someone they look ugly if that is what you sincerely think when they ask you: “How do I look?” Sincerity helps us to be truthful and not deceiving, but at the same time not to be brutally honest either. These three questions can be our “relationship/life savers”.
It can be complicated at times to express ourselves, to be who we really are—especially if that means that we will stand out amongst our friends. Sometimes we become so careful, that in the end, we don't really express what we feel inside. Some people call it "wearing a mask".
