"Jesus, I trust in You" is my prayer at this time. A constant reassurance that, despite all that is happening, the Lord doesn't let anything escape from His hands. The Bible tells us 365 times that we should not be afraid, and it is in times like these when we must take it to heart.
When I was younger, my mom would put inspirational quotes and poems on the refrigerator, and one of them spoke about how the Lord is stitching the quilt of your life, or something like that... The idea was that here on this earth we only see the reverse side, but when we die we see what He was doing on the right side, and it will all make sense. Being a simple human being, I don't understand everything and everyone, and I'm guessing that the same goes for you. However, what the Lord wants at these moments is our love and our trust. He is in control, He doesn't let ANYTHING go by unnoticed. He knows the heart of each person and He knows the personal situation of each one. God is in control, even though you are tempted to think otherwise.
Pay special attention to the readings in the Masses during this time! My goodness how the Lord speaks! It is true that the Word "is living and active" (Heb. 4:12). God never leaves His people. Ask Him to purify us so that we can give Him glory in spirit and in truth, in the way that He wants. Look especially at Mary now, and be consoled in knowing that, whatever happens now or in the future, She has already promised us in Fatima, "in the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph."
In the heart of Mary,
