The Home of the Mother of the Youth is a group of Christian youth that has begun in the Church and is at her service. Our goal is to follow Jesus Christ and fulfill our three missions: the defense of the Eucharist; the defense of the honor of Our Mother, especially in the privilege of her virginity; and the conquest of the youth for Jesus Christ.
Brief History of the HMY
On July 29th,1982, six girls began a youth group called "Home of the Mother of the Youth" while they were on a pilgrimage to Rome. The pilgrimage was directed by Fr. Rafael Alonso Reymundo, a diocesan priest.
On December 27th, 1983, the male branch of the HMY was born.
By the express desire of the founder, these two branches started before the tomb of St. Peter the Apostle in Rome. In this way, he wanted to show that the work of the Home of the Mother must be based on obedience to the Pope and to all the bishops in communion with him.
Currently, groups of the Home of the Mother Youth are in many countries: Spain, United States, Canada, Ecuador, Ireland, Italy, etc.
